Sick Days

Sick day #2 around here. Ike caught a cold that seems to be really concentrated in his head, lots of snot, gooey eyes, headache. He might have pink eye, we're not sure but have decided to treat it as such. He's contagious until tomorrow, hopefully the rest of us (especially Woodrow) can avoid it. In the meantime...it's too much TV. Luckily there are some good tame show and movie options on Netflix, and we also have some DVD's from the library. It's the best way to get a boy who never stops moving to stop moving!

I'm also preschool shopping which is proving pretty difficult. Have some tours lined up next week and will need to see what options we like and can afford (so expensive). I'm excited for Ike to start preschool in the Fall, I really think he'll enjoy it. We are hoping for 3 or 4 half days a week at a Montessori school. We'll see what we come up with.

In Woodrow news, he rolled over for the first time yesterday! Big boy!! I left the room with him on his tummy and came back to him on his back! Then I made him do it over and over for me which he wasn't thrilled about, but it's so cute when they meet milestones like that, so I had to see it many times :)

Momma!!

My momma came for a visit!! Travis ran away to Denver for a weekend (and stayed with the most lovely hostess in all the land, sweet Robin. She and Brad took such good care of him, they're really the best!), and when Southwest had a sale for the same dates, my mom couldn't resist coming to help me out :) Thanks, Momma!! So appreciated :)

I put her to work holding the baby, waking up early with the big boy, going to grocery stores, restaurants, museums & parks. We also re-upholstered furniture! I'm not sure she went home rested, but we're never rested around here, so when in Rome..!

Special date

Ikey and I had a special date last weekend, we got dressed up and went to the theatre. Oregon children's theatre was putting on Geronimo Stilton: Mouse in Space. It was great, my dramatic little dude said he'd like to do that one day (what the actors do), but first...we'll need to build a stage! He's very excited to see the next play, Bad Kitty, in March.

He really geeked out over this banner :)

He brought his book with him, sat down for a recap right after the show :)
